Harold Noble Memorial Park
Situated high above the town on the East Bluff, this park and picnic area provides a panoramic view of the Gore Bay harbour, crowded with boats in the summer, and of the surrounding farmlands. Follow the signs to the East Bluff Lookout. |
Fish Hatchery
Located right on the waterfront, the Gore Bay Fish Hatchery is open to the public every day. Visitors can see many varieties of fish in different life-stages from eggs to planting size. The hatchery plants chinook salmon, rainbow trout and lake trout in order to help develop sports fishing on Manitoulin Island. |
Farmers' Market Locally-grown produce, fresh and smoked fish, maple syrup and handicrafts are on sale in the Gore Bay arena on Fridays from mid-June to Thanksgiving. |
Janet Head Lighthouse
The lighthouse at Janet Head was built in 1880. The name is believed to have come from one of the daughters of Lieutenant Bayfield who surveyed Lake Huron in his ship Recovery between 1822 and 1825. The area includes a tent and trailer park. The actual lighthouse is now home to a gift shop and interpretive centre.

Gore Bay Museum
A jailhouse until 1940 and then converted to a museum in 1958, it holds the key to our past with a wide array of historical artifacts on display.

Gore Bay Summer Theatre The Gore Bay Summer Theatre is ready for another summer of entertaining locals and tourists during the summer. Performances run every Thursday, Friday and Saturday for the month of July and Wednesday, Thursday and Friday in August.
